In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, many services including restaurants have had to temporarily shut down to contain the transmission of the virus, however, with economies slowly starting to reopen, one hotel has set itself apart with its unique patio design, The Westin Bayshore in Vancouver, British Columbia.

 

The hotel implemented clear, geodesic domes on the hotel's outdoor patio to allow guests traveling together to safely dine outside while isolating from others. The dome-shaped design is large enough to fit two outdoor dining chairs, a long  couch, and a small table for eating. Moreover, the translucent design ensures guests can still take advantage of the warmer weather and sunshine.
