Hanifa’s debut collection, Pink Label Congo, launched during quarantine and rather than introducing its styles to the world on real models, the brand opted for a digital showcase featuring 3D models instead. Fortunately, fashion designer Anifa Mvuemba was prepared ahead of time with 3D models even before the global pandemic hit and styles like the Mái Maxi Dress are being shared on social media in a unique way. The new collection is a celebration of Congo culture and brings awareness to issues like illegal mining.
While many brands have been presenting their newest works on 3D digital avatars, the use of these virtual models is taking on new significance at a time when traditional photoshoots can't be carried out as usual.
