The downtown Kiev apartment of a young couple serves as a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Designed by Dubrovska studio, the Blue Marble apartment is a minimalist masterpiece that puts an emphasis on functionality and simplicity
Upon entering the apartment, the first thing that catches the eye is the spacious, white closet with its two large glass wardrobes. One door is translucent, while the other is white, adding a touch of visual interest to the otherwise monochromatic space. The wardrobes are placed opposite each other, creating a sense of symmetry and balance.
The kitchen is equally sleek and stylish, with all appliances and supplies hidden away in drawers or a separate unit that slides out from behind the surface. The living area is anchored by a large Edra sofa transformer, which can be rearranged to suit the occupants’ needs. The apartment’s bathrooms are highlights, with blue marble used to construct the shelves in the shower and the sinks. The designer even managed to bring the sea inside, fulfilling the client’s wish to bring a touch of the natural world into the home.
In the bedroom, a planter filled with lush green plants serves as the focal point, and the bathroom features a smart glass wall that allows the plants’ outlines to be visible. The kids’ room is equally stylish, with a beige and deep green color scheme that is both calming and visually appealing. Throughout the apartment, recessed lighting allows for the selection of cold, warm, or colored light, allowing the occupants to alter the ambiance of the space to suit their needs.
Overall, the Blue Marble apartment is a celebration of minimalism and functionality, providing the perfect retreat for busy individuals looking to escape the demands of daily life.
