The 41st edition of the Sharjah International Book Fair has allocated a special pavilion to display the creativity and experience of the late Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish, through the institution that bears his name and is participating in this session, which will be launched at the Sharjah Expo Center from 2 to 13 November, in the first participation of the Foundation At the level of Arab book fairs.
This pavilion will include Mahmoud Darwish's poetic and prose works and writings, in addition to a screen that broadcasts a brief tape of his life and excerpts from his poems with his voice. Also, to emphasize the importance of Arab creative statures in Arab and international cultural life, open dialogues will be organized with visitors.
The audience of the exhibition will be on a date to restore the works of the eminent poet who surpassed his creative experience with great popularity among Arab readers from the ocean to the Gulf, and his voice is still alive like his poems that immortalized his inspiring poetic journey.
The Director-General of the Mahmoud Darwish Foundation, "Fatehi Al-Bas", said that the Foundation aims, through its participation in the Sharjah International Book Fair, to inform the Emirati cultural institutions and the brothers in the UAE of their efforts to spread and revive Mahmoud Darwish's creative legacy in order to enhance the Foundation's mission to preserve it so that it remains circulated among the new generations of readers.
