Under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Hermes House inaugurated its exhibition entitled “Once Upon a Bag”, and that at the National Museum of Qatar, which will continue until June 11, to form the fourth chapter of a series of mobile "Hermes Heritage" exhibitions that review the story of Hermes since its inception until today.
This exhibition recalls the history of bags whose designs embody the passage of times and generations.
The exhibition begins with the history of the " Haute a courroies" bag, which saw the light at the beginning of the twentieth century, and it is a bag whose roots go back to the equestrian world.
The exhibition is divided into several axes: including a space for families bags, women's bags, men's bags, sports bags, as well as travel bags. A hall has also been allocated for high-end clips with clever and high-precision engineering, among them “ Verrou “bag clips, followed by the most unusual designs in the "Bags of Mischief" collection from the eighties of the last century, designed by "Jean-Louis Dumas" President of Hermes from 1978 To 2006, he translated the fun and exotic designs into leather inlays.
