A year after the Beirut port explosion, which killed more than 200, injured more than 6000 people and left hundreds of thousands without a home, in addition to causing extensive damage to the buildings of the Lebanese capital, including the Archaeological Museum at the American University of Beirut (AMAUB), where Many of the artworks on display were damaged.
So the British Museum and the European Foundation of Fine Arts announced that they would partner to help restore some of the ancient artifacts damaged by the blast.
The museum and exhibition will restore eight glassware dating back to the Roman and early Islamic eras in the conservation laboratories of the British Museum in London.
