Old Jeddah features plenty of architectural treasures to find yourself lost in. One of them is Bait Sharbatly, one of the oldest homes in historical Jeddah, that has fascinated Jeddawis and tourists alike for centennials.
The four-story house then became eponymous and gathered a strong fanbase for its whitewashed facade, charming wooden lattice balconies, mashrabbiya, and rawshan wood design.
A reigning example of Hijazi-style architecture, Bait Sharbatly was once the headquarters of the Egyptian mission to the Kingdom for 20 years. After undergoing some restoration projects conserving its identity, the Jeddah gem is now home to art exhibits and other events.
