A Canadian tourist identified as Nicole sent back artifacts she stole from Pompeii after 15 years, believing she had been "cursed" by them.
"We can't seem to ever get ahead in life," said Nicole, adding that she had a number of health and financial problems.
Nicole returned items including tiles and vase pieces to the Archaeological Park of Pompeii with a letter outlining everything that she had been through.
A spokesperson for the site told CNN that about 100 tourists have sent back items they stole over the years, citing bad luck.
