Staying true to its name, the innovative new street will provide visitors with a perpetual downpour of rain, occasionally adjusting its intensity to offset the otherwise hot summer weather. Inspired by the teachings of Austrian architect Camillo Sitte, who proposed that everything in a city should be within walking distance, the developers of Raining Street, The Kleindienst Group intend to use rainfall in a bid to lower the temperature outside, thus encouraging visitors to walk around outdoors.
Located on the Main Europe island, next to the Portofino Family Hotel, Marbella Hotel, and Cote d’Azur Resort, Raining Street will bring a little slice of magic to what is already set to be a magical experience for visitors and residents alike. Featuring seven islands, 15 hotels, 4,000 holiday homes, and a snow plaza, work on The Heart of Europe has been underway since 2008, with the first set of homeowners moving in this year.
