The 'Superegg' installation by Jaco Roeloffs is a chromatic work of art that, although beautiful, calls to mind an important topic when it comes to the environment. The Fabergé egg-like structure was achieved by the artist using a series of aluminum sheets that were studded with 3,000 Nespresso and Keurig single-use coffee pods; the important aspect to note is that the pods were pulled out of the ocean. This helps draw more attention to the important topic of oceanic pollution as more and more waste enters our waterways each year.

The 'Superegg' installation stands 6'6" in height and is the winner of the 2020 A' Design Award, and is also integrated with lighting on the interior that shines out after dark to act as a reminder beacon of wasteful behaviors.
